Student Pastor
From the Gridiron to the Gospel. Matt’s journey to Hot Springs wasn’t a straight line—it was a 100-yard dash. A native of Addison, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Slippery Rock University, Matt spent 4 years playing college football and nine years as a professional athlete in the Arena Football League, where he helped lead his teams to three World Championships.
In 2007, his path took a pivotal turn. After being saved at age 27, Matt felt a clear calling to pursue God with the same intensity he once gave to the game. He spent over a decade as a football coach and teacher in Hot Springs, while simultaneously serving as a leader for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).
In July 2022, Matt officially traded the whistle for a full-time calling as our Student Minister. Whether he’s leading mission trips across the country—from the plains of Nebraska to the heart of Mexico—or mentoring students in our own backyard, Matt is driven by a single mission: to see the next generation sold out for Jesus.
The Home Team
Matt has been happily married to his wife, Andi (a dedicated teacher at Lake Hamilton Jr. High), for 19 years. They are the proud parents of three children: Ezekiel, Teagan, and Timothy.

When he’s not at the church, you’ll find Matt:
Always finding an excuse to work outdoors.
Fellowshipping on the golf course.
In the woods turkey hunting.
On School Campus and Attending student events.
